Min would like to inform you that DBKL has implemented Special Actions on Non-Citizen Unlicensed Hawkers around Jalan Ampang (KLCC), Jalan Imbi and Jalan P.Ramlee Kuala Lumpur last Saturday and Sunday. It is also a follow-up from information obtained through postings on social media (Facebook and TikTok).
A total of 4 confiscation/removal actions have been taken against non-citizen hawkers who sell food/beverages including 2 used clothing dealers, 1 compound notice under UUK 3(1) of the Vendor Licensing Bylaws (WPKL) 2016 - Citizen Vendors Without License and 1 compound notice Section 47(1)(a), Roads, Drains and Buildings Act 1974 - Offenses of throwing away sales materials and littering a public place.
DBKL has stationed enforcement officers in locations categorized as hotspots for unauthorized hawking activities to ensure that such activities can be curbed.
