Tawau: A woman in Kampung Serudong Laut sought police assistance after a foreign man allegedly trespassed into her home and threatened to harm her and her child.
When the woman's child confronted him for his inappropriate and disrespectful behavior, the suspect became aggressive and began issuing threats to physically harm both mother and child.
Fearing for their safety, the woman immediately lodged a report at the nearest police station.
Tawau District Police Chief Assistant Commissioner Jasmin Hussin said that a team from Wallace Bay Police Station acted swiftly and arrested the suspect in a nearby palm plantation.
During the arrest, officers recovered a small sharp knife believed to have been used to intimidate the victims. The suspect has been handed over for further investigation.
