KUALA LUMPUR: Grab has officially rebranded its long-running loyalty programme GrabRewards to the new and upgraded GrabCoins, aiming to give users more value, faster earnings, and easier redemption across all daily transactions — from rides and food orders to shopping and digital payments.
Under the new system, all existing GrabRewards points have already been automatically converted to GrabCoins. Grab says the refreshed programme is designed to make every activity in the Grab ecosystem more rewarding, transparent and convenient.

Grab’s expanding ecosystem — rides, deliveries, groceries, shopping and payments — allows users to earn coins on almost every action.
Under GrabCoins, users will see clearer savings, higher earning opportunities and instantly trackable value.
Fast and Simple Coin Earning
Users can now earn GrabCoins not only through spending, but everyday actions such as:
- 5% back on GrabFood Signatures
- 5% back on breakfast and tea-time orders
- 150 coins when booking a table via Grab Dine Out
- 5% back on GrabMart Health & Beauty category
- 200 coins for using PayLater
- 1.5% back on partner-app bookings
- Coins awarded for using GXS Card or GrabPay at Jaya Grocer
- 5% back on premium and executive rides
- Up to 5× coins for GrabUnlimited members
Redemption Made Easier
Coins can be redeemed instantly at checkout by activating “Use GrabCoins”.
Even a single order can generate enough coins to reduce the cost of the next purchase.
According to Grab:

The updated app interface now displays exactly how many coins users earn on each transaction and how much they save.

Coins Validity
Under the new rules:
- Most GrabCoins must be used within 6 months.
- Existing balances up to 17 November, and coins earned until 31 December, will only expire on 31 July 2026.
