Sabah Immigration authorities have intensified enforcement against undocumented migrants, carrying out coordinated operations in Tenom and Keningau. The raids took place between November 4 and 5, 2025, involving 18 officers from the Sabah Immigration Department.
Officials confirmed that the arrests are being processed under Section 6(1)(c) of the Immigration Act 1959/63, which addresses individuals found residing in Malaysia without legal documentation.
The Sabah Immigration Department emphasized that employers and individuals who harbor or hire undocumented migrants will also face prosecution. Authorities urged the public to provide information regarding the presence or movement of illegal immigrants in their areas.
Officials reiterated that enforcement efforts will continue without compromise as part of ongoing measures to safeguard national security and uphold Malaysia’s immigration laws.
