A sudden fire broke out at the Bazaar Raya set up within the compound of Stadium Darul Aman in Alor Setar, destroying five tents completely.
According to the fire department, personnel rushed to the scene immediately after receiving the alert and, with the assistance of a volunteer team, brought the blaze under control in about 45 minutes to prevent it from spreading to nearby tents. The affected stalls were selling clothing, shoes, and caps.
No casualties or injuries were reported. The cause of the fire and the estimated financial losses have not yet been determined. Further investigations are being conducted by Jabatan Bomba Malaysia.
